Rusty Rhodes

I am a native of the upstate of SC and an alumnus of spartanburg methodist college and clemson university. I had the opportunity to play baseball at the collegiate level and that all started at SMC and continued at Clemson. While at Clemson, we made it to the college world series in both 1995 and 1996. That was an experience I will never forget. After graduating from Clemson, my plans were to go into education and be a teacher and coach. That all changed when I was introduced to the insurance business and began my career in July of 1999 with Southern farm Bureau in Anderson, SC. While there, I fell in love with the life insurance business and that has continued ever since. I have spent the majority of my time as an agent, but I did spend almost 6 years in management while at New York Life. That was fun, but I knew I wanted to go back into the field as a producer, so in 2013 I became an independent broker focusing on life insurance, disability and long term care for individuals. It was also in 2013 when I started working with small businesses and helping them with their supplemental benefits. My business really started to grow at that time and I was really having fun. My business model now is primarily working in the small business market as well as the individual market. I like to say I can help someone from hire to retire. At C&K Benefits, we take a look at where you are today and where you would like to be and help you fill the void. So far, my twenty plus years in the insurance business have been fun and challenging at times, but my main focus has always been my clients. I live in Anderson, SC with my wife Cristy. We have four kids, Chandler ( 26 ), Hayden 22, Reese 17 and Ryan 14. We also have a dog, Charlee. When I am not working, you can find my wife and I watching one of our kids play sports or we may be at a Clemson sporting event watching the Tigers play!
